Lepton is proud to announce that Prof. Malcolm K Brenner, M.D., Ph.D. at the Center for Cell and Gene Therapy, Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, TX US and Fayez Sarofim Distinguished Service Professor at Baylor College of Medicine in the Departments of Medicine, Pediatrics, and Human and Molecular Genetics. agreed to consult to Lepton for advancing its development cell therapy program for treatment of serious diseases, initially of cancer. Dr. Brenner’s expertise spans cell and gene therapy, molecular and human genetics, pediatrics, and translational biology & molecular medicine. His primary research interest is the use of gene transfer to augment the immune response to human tumors, using vaccines and adoptive transfer of genetically modified T cells. Dr Brenner has earned widespread recognition for his scientific achievements and leadership in the field, including the American Society for Gene and Cell Therapy (ASGCT) Outstanding Achievement Award, Human Gene Therapy’s Pioneer Award, the American Society of Hematology Mentor Award and the European Society of Gene and Cell Therapy Outstanding Achievement award. For his contributions to the field, Dr. Brenner has been elected a member of the American Association of Physicians and of the National Academy of Medicine.
